Anne
started writing stories for the Edison-Norwood Times Review right out of Taft,
working summers and returning as a reporter several years out of college.
As editor and later managing editor, she chronicled the news and won awards for
coverage of Chicago’s Northwest Side, and for publications in six surrounding
O’Hare area suburbs for Des Plaines Publishing and Pioneer Press for more than
35 years.
Active in many areas of local leadership across the Far Northwest Side, she has
authored hundreds of local history articles and a book on community history
including the “Community Roots” series in the Times Review. She served as
historical advisor to Taft during the bicentennial celebrations.
Anne is historian for the Norwood Park Historical Society and has worked with
the Taft Alumni Association in many capacities since its 50th anniversary.
